The credit card near its mouth is a stark reminder of a study related by Trust My Science that revealed we accumulate the weight equivalent of a credit card in microplastics in our nose and throat every week.

These microplastics, tiny particles resulting from the degradation of plastic from consumption and industrial processes, are constantly released into our environment.
